The department of chemistry was established in the year 2006 to impart the basic knowledge of chemistry to the students in the rural belt of mandhal region. Since 2006, the chemistry department has been very active and popular in terms of providing the basic knowledge of chemistry to the students. Many students have made successful and bridge carrier by opting chemistry as one of the subjects at the U.G. level.

In the year 2012, the science faculty was granted by R.T.M.N.U. Nagpur. Since then chemistry department has seen tremendous growth in the number of admissions. Now this department is enriched with highly qualified and experienced faculties whose teaching skills and depth of knowledge is attracting the students to opt for chemistry as one of the subjects while talking admission in B.SC.

From July 2014, this department has been running under the supervision of prof. Pankaj Meshram who is the head of the department. Dr. Mahesh Gaidhane and Dr. Smita Kharkale are putting in their efforts, excellence and hard work to make this department highly successful. 

In the last decade, many students have shown their excellence in the chemistry subject. Many students have done M. Sc. in chemistry. Some of them have passed NET/Set and a few of them are working in the scientific laboratories across Maharashtra.

Today the department carries forward the proud tradition of chemistry at mandhal city for teaching and related activities. Our collaboration with physics, computer science, environmental science and mathematics departments of this college will strengthen the teaching and research activities in future. Our commitment to excellence in teaching will be carried on well into the future.
