Dr. Tirthraj Kapgate (Assistant Professor and Head of Department of Marathi)
Dr. Tirthraj Kapgate in an assistant professor since January 2001. He is an M.A. in Marathi. He also acquired B.Ed..he qualified the SET and NET examinations conducted by UGC & was awarded with Ph.D. degree in 2012 for the subject Deshvibhajan and Marathi GadyaSahity.
He is a reputed poet and PadmagandhaPrakashan, Pune has published his collection of poetry, ‘Garbhavaibhavi’ in 2013. The blurb printed on the book includes distinctive comments by eminent Marathi poet GRACE. He was awarded ‘SharcchandraMuktibidhPuraskar’ of VidarbhaSahityaSangha, Nagpur, ‘TukamhaneSahityaPuraskar’ from TukamhanePratisthan& ‘from Padmagandhapratisthan, Nagpur.
Dr. Kapgate was co-editor of ‘Shat-dikshant’, the souvenir published on the occasion of centenary Convocation of RashtrasantTukadojiMaharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. He was also a member of Annual Report Committee and Co-editor of Annual Report of RTM ngp University Nagpur in 2014-15.
He was journalist for 10 years and worked as sub-editor in reputed newspapers ‘Samana’ and ‘Nagpur Patrika’. He was editor of ‘Vaidarbhi ‘(form 1997 to 2000) the famous literary supplement of Samana (newspaper) which is reffered as notable contribution by Dr. Andhare (eminet historian) in his book ‘Adhunik Nagpur’. He is actively involved in various Literaryactivities and has been constantly publishing articles in standard journals and reputed periodicals such as Yugawani. He has written about 80 articles including research papers and vaicharik and lalitleh, which are published till now.
He shared a beautiful bond of relationship with poet GRACE and was a writer for about 80 ‘Lalit-Bandhas’ which were dictated by him and were published in his various books such as, ‘sandiva magna purushachilakshane,’olyaveloochbasri’. ‘kawaleudale swami including ‘waryanehalate ran’ which was awarded by sahitya academy.
